WAEC runs WASSCE for private candidates (often called GCE) for people who are no longer in school or who want to improve their results.
Registration
Private candidates register online through WAEC's official registration channels, choose an exam centre and pay the fee. Dates and fees change, so check waecnigeria.org.
Tips
GCE results are generally accepted for admission, but always check your school's rules on combining results. See the "Combining Results & Two Sittings" forum.

Tips
- Use the same name spelling as your other certificates.
- Pick a centre you can reach easily on every exam day.
- Prepare as seriously as for the school exam; the papers follow the same syllabus.
