UTME is a computer-based test (CBT). Being comfortable with the format saves time and stress.

Practise the format
  • Use a CBT practice app or website that times you and lets you click through questions.
  • Practise moving between subjects and flagging questions to return to.
  • If JAMB holds a mock exam in your year and you are eligible, consider writing it; it shows you the real system.

On the day
  • Arrive early with what JAMB lists as required, usually your registration slip.
  • Do not take phones or other banned items into the hall.
  • Answer the questions you know first, then come back to the hard ones.
  • Watch the timer and make sure every question has an answer before time runs out.
