Two kinds of cut-off
Aggregate scores
Many schools combine your UTME score with your Post-UTME score, and some also add points for your O-Level grades. The formula is different from school to school, and schools publish theirs with the screening announcement.
For example, one common style converts UTME (out of 400) and Post-UTME into a score out of 100. That is only an illustration: always use your own school's formula.
Ask here with your school, course, UTME score and Post-UTME score, and others can help you work out your aggregate.
- JAMB sets a minimum UTME score that schools may accept.
- Each school then sets its own cut-off, and many set different cut-offs for each course. Competitive courses are usually much higher than the minimum.
